All special Engineer Studs are made to order so any thread lengths, thread fits or fitted diameter shanks can be easily accommodated.

Likewise all materials are carried in stock so that whenever you have a need for a small batch of double ended studs, Hague can give you an immediate quote and manufacture with a next day delivery if required.

Due to the countless combinations of Engineer Stud type, material grade, thread length configuration, thread form and many other variables, it is impossible to find your custom stud sitting on a stockists’ shelf, but Hague Fasteners can perform an immediate manufacture and supply often faster than a Stockist can draw from stock.

Nuts and bolts come in various sizes and are used to hold a number of things together, Hexagon Nuts are used with a parallel bolt to fasten and stack parts together. Both the Hexagon Nuts and bolts are kept together through their friction and compression. In some cases vibration or rotation can cause nuts to loosen, and in certain situations a locking mechanism may be put in place to help keep the parts together. This can include the use of adhesives, lock wire or even oval-shaped threads to minimise the nuts from untightening. The most commonly manufactured nut is the hexagon, it has six sides which allows for easy grasp with a tool in tight spots. The advantages of using Wheel Studs instead of wheel bolts is that they are much easier to move both the wheel and tire during tire changes making it efficient and easier. Most vehicles today tend to have

Wheel studs are used for many different automobiles and are the threaded fasteners that hold on the wheels of your automobile. They are semi permanently mounted directly to the vehicle hub, usually through the brake drum or break discs, nuts are fastened over the wheel stud to secure the wheel.

Stud Bolts

Stud bolts are round metal bars that can be screwed at both ends or fully screwed, a bit like a screw with no head. Stud bolts like these are found all over the place, they are similar to doweling rods in the way that they work.
Engineer Studs

Engineer studs are the same as standard stud bolts except they can have flanges at a set distance from one end which creates a positive collar against the surface the stud bolt is tightened too. These are more specific studs.
Wheel Studs

What Are Wheel Studs?

Wheel studs are a type of fastener that are used to hold the wheels on to vehicles. They are mounted directly to the brake disc semi-permanently.

Although many vehicles use bolts instead of studs there are still some advantages to using Wheel Studs.
Wheel Studs allow for easier tyre changes – This is because when Wheel Studs are used they create the ability to lift the tyre and wheel onto the studs, whereas with bolts you would have to lift the tyre and hold it whilst you insert a bolt.

Stud Bolts

A stud bolt is a bolt that is either fully threaded or that has threads on both ends. The purpose of engineer stud bolts is to permanently screw one end into a fixture, and then use a nut on the other end of the bolt. Stud bolts may also be called ‘standing bolts’.
