Here at Hague Fasteners we like to manufacture custom fasteners, and we like to do it properly. Every detail has to be exact, and if it’s a custom fastener it needs to match the customer’s requirements exactly. And that’s no different when it comes to studs.
When we mention studs you probably think of attractive males that you’ve seen on T.V, well we’re an engineering company, so that isn’t the case! When we say Studs, we mean Studs – Engineer Studs, wheel studs, and stud bolts. But what are all these different types of stud?
Stud Bolts
Stud bolts are round metal bars that can be screwed at both ends or fully screwed, a bit like a screw with no head. Stud bolts like these are found all over the place, they are similar to doweling rods in the way that they work.
Engineer Studs
Engineer studs are the same as standard stud bolts except they can have flanges at a set distance from one end which creates a positive collar against the surface the stud bolt is tightened too. These are more specific studs.
Wheel Studs
We’ve written up about wheel studs before in a previous post right here on our blog. Wheel studs are on every vehicle with wheels and their purpose is to hold the wheel on to the axis of a vehicle and make it easier the wheels. If you want to know more about them please refer back to here.
Hague Fasteners are always willing to help you if you’re in need of custom fasteners, we manufacture fasteners from OEM Drawings and customer designs so you can be certain that we’ll be able to create the perfect fasteners for you.
