Tempus Fugit – Time Flies

Founded in its earliest form in 1971, Hague Fasteners soon moved into their Custom Special fastener manufacturing facility on the corner of Brierley Lane and Batmanshill Road in Bilston where we remained for decades.

20140215-181557.jpg

The striking yellow clad building was iconic in the local area as businesses came and went through the years, Hague Fasteners remained a mainstay in the local area.

The Hague Family who owned the “Winston Works” site were approached by housing developers in 2006. A deal had already been struck with industrial property owners down the Batmanshill Road, and the developers needed the Brierley Lane frontage occupied by Hague Fasteners. The concluding deal was made and Hague Fasteners were on the move after over 30 years.

Hague Fasteners soon identified an ideal more modern premises close to the centre of Wolverhampton. A tailormade custom bolting facility was set up on Watery Lane, with the best of the old manufacturing plant making the short move across the Black Country.

February 14th 2008 was the date of the move, the Bolt production facility in Bilston came to a standstill and the trucks rolled with Stocks and machines The staff padlocked the gates at Winston Works for the last time and made the trip to the new facility in Willenhall.

Improved conditions and investment in new plant and machinery ensured the future was to be exciting and bright.

Non-Chinese Please – We're British

Taking the bus to work or having a relaxing walk amid the rush hour traffic, wherever you are, you will no doubt have a little bit of China on you.

Listening to your iPod – Made in China
Fiddling with your key ring – Made in China
Dressed to impress – Made in China

Our business has been established since 1971 and in recent years we have seen a massive upturn in requests for Manufactured Special Fasteners of Stainless Steels (and nonferrous materials) where it is stipulated in the supply terms that non Chinese sourced material must be used.
NonChinese Fasteners

We pride ourselves on the high integrity of all products we manufacture from a complex component made in house to a customers close toleranced drawing, to a standard pin or washer, ground or laser cut in the heart of England.

We fully appreciate the reasons customers are increasingly asking for manufactured fasteners from EU produced steels and NonChinese machine shops and are proud to advise all of our current and prospective Customers that Hague Fasteners do not get involved with any Chinese or Far Eastern imports.
In a complete turnaround Hague Fasteners are now even supplying British manufactured Bolts, Nuts & Washers into Japan, Malaysia, Thailand and even China, a process we never thought possible when we were losing contracts to these very countries in the 1980s.

In further support of British engineering Hague Fasteners have proudly completed their first year of Young Apprentice schemes seeing an increase in their Special Fastener Engineering Workforce with investment in youth training and staff development.

If you have any projects that require small volume, special, high integrity fasteners that cannot be sourced from China or from Chinese origin materials, we would kindly ask that you give Hague Fasteners a try.

Experts in Manufactured Engineer Studs Since 1971

For over 4 decades, Hague Fasteners have excelled in the quality manufacturing of Engineer Studs.

From small diameter engineer studs for automotive use through large diameter High Pressure Turbine Casing Engineer Studs used in Power Generation facilities all around the World, Hague have the capacity to serve your Special Manufactured Fastener needs.

What is an Engineer Stud ?
There are various key identifiers when it comes to specifying an Engineer Stud. Many international standards exist and Hague can manufacture to the dimensions required under all standards or indeed a bespoke special stud can easily be made to your unique requirements and drawings.

The Metal End is the Stud End that is screwed into the existing component base or body. This is generally 1 or 1.5 times the nominal diameter as specified by purchaser or international standard.
TheNut End is the Stud End which is not screwed into the existing component. A nut is tightened into this shorter threaded end to secure the fixing.
The Plain portion is the part of stud which is not screwed. This shall be greater than 50% of the nominal dia and normally includes thread runouts.
Nominal length- The British Standard BS4439 identifies a range of Nominal lengths from 12mm to 500 mm. The nominal length is the plain portion length & the Nut Threaded End added together.
d – Hague regularly manufacture Engineer Studs in the diameter range M6 (1/4″) through M100 (4″).
Threads Notes
According to the BS4439 standard the threads on the nut end and on the metal end shall be in accordance with BS 3643 parts 1-3. The nut end shall be to the tolerance 6g (medium fit.). This is as normal for a general bolt. The metal end shall be to the tolerance of a close fit (4h) or an oversize tolerance as specified.
The tapped hole shall be to the tolerance 4H or, if it is not critical application a medium 6H tolerance can apply.
Be sure to give the Stud Experts a call with your next Engineer Stud requirements. Hague Fasteners are ready to manufacture for you.

Wheel Studs Focus

Fastener Manufacturers

As a fastener manufacturer  that creates screws, nuts and bolts (fasteners) we use a large amount of technology and machinery within our production factory to create all kinds of fasteners from non standard fasteners, every day screws you see often (in special materials) to custom designed fasteners for specialist industries.

As a Fastener Manufacturer we use drawings and other designs to create specific fasteners and Hague Fasteners are specialists when it comes to this kind of special fastener.

Hague Fasteners have over 50 years of experience as fastener manufacturers and our specialist area is custom fasteners that you are not able to get hold of from standard fastener stockists.

We manufacture and supply fasteners to industries all over the world including the Oil industry and the Transport industry.
Within the transport industry there are many different kinds of vehicles, and almost all of these will have wheel studs.

What Are Wheel Studs?

Wheel studs are a type of fastener that are used to hold the wheels on to vehicles. They are mounted directly to the brake disc semi-permanently.

Although many vehicles use bolts instead of studs there are still some advantages to using Wheel Studs.
Wheel Studs allow for easier tyre changes – This is because when Wheel Studs are used they create the ability to lift the tyre and wheel onto the studs, whereas with bolts you would have to lift the tyre and hold it whilst you insert a bolt.

Stud Bolts

A stud bolt is a bolt that is either fully threaded or that has threads on both ends. The purpose of engineer stud bolts is to permanently screw one end into a fixture, and then use a nut on the other end of the bolt. Stud bolts may also be called ‘standing bolts’.

Fastener Manufacturers Hague Fasteners

Fastener Manufacturers

Hague Fasteners are fastener manufacturers. Fastener is another term for a screw, or a bolt.
Since 1971 Hague Fasteners have been highly rated fastener manufacturers, manufacturing any fasteners including custom and non-standard fasteners for many industries including Construction, Oil & Gas, Mining, Ship Building, Chemical, Water, Power Generation, Transport and Steel Fabrication. As you can see from the large list of industries that Hague Fasteners work within fasteners can be found everywhere.
Hague Fasteners occupy a niche area in the Fastener market, manufacturing and supplying fasteners that are more difficult to obtain and not readily available off the shelf or from general stockists. Along with large stocks of high integrity and super alloy bars allow Hague Fasteners to offer their services as fastener manufacturers on a very short lead time.
A key product that Hague Fasteners manufacture is hexagon nuts and hexagon bolts.

Hexagon Bolts

Hexagon Headed Fasteners are a specialty for Hague Fasteners. Many of the hexagon bolts that the fastener manufacturers create are made from Duplex, Super Duplex Steels or high specification Super Alloys.
Over recent years we have found that the biggest calling is now for Metric hexagon bolts – these are modified versions of existing hexagon bolts.

Hexagon Nuts

Just as with the hexagon bolts, Hague Fasteners excel with hexagon nuts. These nuts are created with Duplex Steel, Super Duplex Steel, or just like the bolts, high spec Super Alloy. Hague Fasteners manufacture all kinds of hexagon nuts, standard and non-standard, but just as with the hexagon bolts they’re biggest area is modified versions of existing hexagon nuts.
Hague Fasteners can also create custom hexagon nuts through OEM drawings and Customer Drawings.
