Hague Fasteners are please to take delivery of another new steel bar Cutting machine to our ever expanding Special Fastener Production Facility.
Our new Steel Bar Cutting NC controlled automatic bandsaw is optimising our incoming material (up to 300mmø) ready for our in house special fastener manufacturing.
This new investment has been made due to Hague’s ever increasing order book and with the sawing often being the first stage of production. This new plant sees material received and processed much faster and with higher accuracy.
Whilst Hague Fasteners specialise in the smaller batches of custom made special fastener components, the new Steel Bar Sawing machine also gives flexibility of cutting larger batch runs. Where needed the NC can control various billet length cuts from a single bar set-up.
The accurate NC controls also enable the optimum speed and feed rates when cutting some of the super alloys and Nickel based materials such as Nimonic, Hastelloy, Inconel and so on.
Continued growth and investment assured Hague’s clients of the very best in customer service and reliability.

Hague Fasteners have been manufacturing High Voltage Insulated Bolts for decades servicing the turbine and power generation maintainers and manufacturers.
Hague’s highest quality British manufactured Turbine Studs and Hex Bolts are wrapped with Epoxy Glass which is then finish machined to make the Insulated Fastener that can then be safely installed within the high voltage generator.
The bolts pictured are smaller items used in an 11.5kV generator with rotor expiration voltage of 500V.

Great feature in the press this week detailing the dynamics of working in a family business.
Featuring CEO Jon Hague, and sons Jack Hague & Tom Hague the write up gives an insight into what it’s like working for a family business in the West Midlands manufacturing Special Fasteners since 1971
A leading UK manufacturer of non-standard fasteners is on course for a record-breaking year following £300,000 of work to supply specialist products to the oil and gas, petrochemical and construction sectors.
Family-owned Hague Fasteners, which has recently been awarded ISO9001:2015 certification, has seen a 25% surge in orders. This was perfectly timed after the company moved into a new, 8,500 square foot factory in Willenhall – three times larger than its old premises – earlier this year.
“We had reached bursting point at our old site, so knew 2017 was always going to be the year we made a move,” explained Jon Hague, the company’s CEO, who runs the firm with his wife Claire.
“It took us six months to find the right place, but as soon as we saw it we knew the location was ideal, giving us more space to take on new clients and the ability to plan the layout down to the finest detail.”
Hague Fasteners also hope to take on six new members of staff, some of whom may be apprentices, by the end of the year, Jon continued.
The company has been in operation in the Black Country since 1971, and was established by Jon’s father, John. It has since grown to specialise in bespoke, small-batch products including specialist fasteners, studs, nuts and bolts.
“Our bolts, fasteners and pins get used in a wide range of applications,” said Claire Hague. “In the last year alone, we’ve supplied to a blockbuster film, high profile sports stadiums and one of the world’s most prominent buildings.”
Reverse Engineering of Old or Obsolete Special Fasteners
Hague Fasteners are experts in the Reverse engineering (or Back Engineering) of all types of Engineered Special Fasteners, fixings and turned parts.
We have seen a sharp increase in the need for identification, reverse design and manufacturing of all sorts of components. Often in very small batches such as 2pcs, 10pcs, 25pcs etc. where the component has been in use for many years and there is no longer access to the original parts’ Engineering drawing.
Bespoke Reverse Engineered Fasteners
Often the items are completely Bespoke Fasteners that need making exactly to the dimensions and thread sizes of the existing part.
Hague Fasteners also offer modifications to the parts where required. This is often an increase in material strength or a material upgrade for extra performance and reliability or simply a slight modification to certain sizes. Perhaps increasing the length or changing the thread form.
Engineering Rebuild and Repairs
Our special Fastener reverse engineering service is utilised by companies large and small where old plant or vehicles are being repaired or rebuilt. We are also at hand to assist enthusiasts who are working on private vehicle projects where a part is needed, perhaps some new head studs, or some extended Wheel Studs for a classic car or race car modification.
We are also proven to manufacture very small batches of items that may even be available from other Countries. Our reverse engineered Fasteners offer a UK Manufactured solution cheaper and faster than seeking an overpriced import where the rarity of the product required sees an over inflated price at the expense of the purchaser.
Where a special component is required and their is no access to a drawing or technical design description, Hague Fasteners operate a convenient solution.
1. You obtain a quotation from a photograph, so no need to lose time and money by sending the item in. We just ask that the item is photographed alongside a tape or rule so that we can establish rough sizes and costings to reproduce.
2. We will then send you our formal quotation for reverse engineering the part.
3. If you are happy with the proposed offer you then send in the sample (or we can collect if inconvenient due to component size). We then get to work replicating the item required with a lead time to suit your needs.
We look forward to hearing from you with any requirements you have for replacing older or difficult to obtain Fasteners.
27 Years Later
Hague Fasteners Mangaging Director, Jon Hague, is celebrating 27 years service with Hague Fasteners this month.
Following countless messages from Customers and Suppliers, Mr Hague states :-
“Thank you so much for the many messages of congratulations I have received on my 27 year anniversary of service to Hague Fasteners.
The support and assistance from my family has been invaluable, and I so proud and thrilled to see the continued growth and success of Hague Fasteners with the assistance and support of my wife and co-owner Claire Hague and my two eldest sons Jack Hague & Tom Hague, along with the rest of my loyal and long serving Hague Fasteners Team.
I am blessed to spend my working life with my direct family and assured that the strong morals and ethics that has set Hague Fasteners apart from others will continue in the safe hands of the 3rd Generation of Hagues.”
Jon goes on to say :-
“I was privileged to join this great business 27 years ago. Hague Fasteners was started by my late Father, John Hague, back in 1971 and I was lucky enough to have worked with him for 10 years prior to his retiring. The knowledge and experience I learnt from him was invaluable, but even more defining were the his strong ethics and commitment to each and every Customer, morals and service that was second to none.
It is this same dedication and commitment to giving the very best attention and service to every enquiry and order we receive that has seen Hague Fasteners grow Year on Year since our restructuring at the turn of the millennium.
We are humbled by the outstanding feedback from our clients and this sees the continued drive to further improve and stand out in our field.”
You can rest safe in the knowledge that The Hague Service and Expertise in now being passed to The Next Generation and the practices and dedication from our team ensures we give the very best service to each and every customer, every time.
