British Manufacturing of Studbolts & Nuts – Special Fasteners

Since 1971 Hague Fasteners have perfected the art of Small Batch Special Fastener manufacturing.

From our inception in our earliest form in 1971, our early years saw us dominate the “breakdown delivery service” for troubleshooting emergency supply to the oil & gas industry.

Hague’s British Engineering Group were one of the earliest British manufacturers of Petrochemical Studbolts & Nuts. Their flow line thread rolling production facility in Wolverhampton ensured ASTM quality assured bolting was shipped around the world for Rigs and pipeline maintenance, the original Studbolt Manufacturing Ltd*

However in the late 1980’s due to costing pressures brought about by cheap Asian competition, Hague Fasteners decided to step away from the standard ASTM material production, leaving the regular sized Studbolts & Nuts to the competition. Naturally the market was flooded with often inferior Chinese manufactured cheap bolting, but as was so often seen in the 80’s British Manufacturing simply couldn’t compete with imports from China.

Several British Companies appeared as stockholders to continue the supply of Petrochemical Studbolts and Nuts by importing container loads of Foreign manufactured product. Some even claimed to “Manufacture” but simply cutting lengths of studding to required lengths misleading as the bolts remain imported and not of EU Origin. During this time Hague closed their Studbolt Manufacturing mass production facility and decided to focus their niche on the more specialist material grades where quality & integrity is required above cost alone.

To this day, Hague excel in the manufacture and supply of these Superalloy fasteners. Critical bolting in ASTM A453 660, Inconel 718, Inconel 625, Monel 400 along with Duplex & SuperDuplex Grades S31803, S32550, S32750, S32760.

It is with increasing regularity now that Hague Fasteners are winning orders against the cheap inferior imports where our High Integrity Customers through all Industries are stipulating that Imported Fasteners particularly of Asian Origin must not be supplied. An about turn and a return to British manufacturing excellence. Saving a few pounds is irrelevant if the quality you’re receiving is substandard or the materials received is not in full compliance with the specification required.

Don’t take unnecessary risks, source from the experts in Special Fastener production.

The Craftsmen In Fasteners – Risk Free Bolting Solutions Since 1971

* The appearance of “Studbolt Manufacturing Ltd” (now non-trading) in 2003 was as a result of the name being adopted by another firm following the closing down of The Ralin Group’s original named Company in the 1990’s and does not have any connection to Hague Fasteners Limited.

Quality Wheel Studs Made In Britain

Wheel Studs are the most important component of any vehicle as they hold the wheel of any automobile.

The advantages of using Wheel Studs instead of wheel bolts is that they are much easier to move both the wheel and tire during tire changes making it efficient and easier. Most vehicles today tend to have
five studs per wheel, although the majority of larger vehicles like Lorries and trucks have more. Before changing any wheel it is imperative to make sure that each lug nut is gently threaded onto the stud. It is of great importance to make sure that the nut is not over tightened as that can strip the thread, but
sometimes the thread on Wheel Studs can be stripped so when that happens they should be replaced immediately. At Hague Fasteners the strength of our Wheel Studs is unmatched compared to any other available on the market. This is because our studs are specifically tailored for Special Vehicles Manufacturers designs. Consisting of the finest material such as alloy steel, they are hardened and if needed coated with Zinc or Manganese Phosphate. The Wheel Studs are available to order no matter what quantity you need.

Our Stud Bolts are manufactured from Stainless Steel materials making them tough and sturdy. Hague Fasteners are one of the first original manufacturers of Stud Bolts, and even though the marketplace has flooded with imports over recent years, we have managed to stay at the very top and remain a leading company to manufacture and supply excellent quality products. It is no surprise that our excellence just shines through to our customers, and makes us the leading supplier for vehicle and other industries. The Art Of Special Fastener Manufacturing

The Internet is full of hollow words, brash claims & empty boasts. You have to tread carefully to ensure you are not misled and that the facts claimed are true.

The same is true when dealing with any industry. Companies claiming to have achieved outstanding feats, to have been the first, the best and the most reliable. It is outrageous claims particularly within the Fastener Industry that see Companies get stuck so often.

There is an Art to engineering, it takes more than a fancy brochure or an outrageous salesman to actually deliver a quality assured special fastener.

Hague Fasteners have been at the forefront of small batch Non Standard Fastener manufacturing since their foundation in 1971.

An archive of their Sales Brochures from 1971 to current day can be seen in the History page of the Hague Fasteners website.

Many of Hague’s new clients tell horror stories of how they thought they’d found a reliable supplier, suppliers claiming to have a wealth of experience in Incoloy, Hastelloy, Inconel, Nimonic or Other Superalloys only to find their order not delivered or ridiculously delayed or worse still the delivery is of poor quality it even of incorrect material.

Hague Fasteners have a vast array of customers from small private specialist firms through to Multinational Blue Chip organisations in all industries that use Hague Fasteners as their first choice for Special Bolting, Precision Engineered Components & Non Standard Socket Screws.

Why not let them quote you for your next Special Fastener, 42 years and still going strong.

A wide range of the manufactured fasteners made in the UK can be viewed on The Hague Fasteners Gallery.
