Tempus Fugit – Time Flies

Founded in its earliest form in 1971, Hague Fasteners soon moved into their Custom Special fastener manufacturing facility on the corner of Brierley Lane and Batmanshill Road in Bilston where we remained for decades.

The striking yellow clad building was iconic in the local area as businesses came and went through the years, Hague Fasteners remained a mainstay in the local area.

The Hague Family who owned the “Winston Works” site were approached by housing developers in 2006. A deal had already been struck with industrial property owners down the Batmanshill Road, and the developers needed the Brierley Lane frontage occupied by Hague Fasteners. The concluding deal was made and Hague Fasteners were on the move after over 30 years.

Hague Fasteners soon identified an ideal more modern premises close to the centre of Wolverhampton. A tailormade custom bolting facility was set up on Watery Lane, with the best of the old manufacturing plant making the short move across the Black Country.

February 14th 2008 was the date of the move, the Bolt production facility in Bilston came to a standstill and the trucks rolled with Stocks and machines The staff padlocked the gates at Winston Works for the last time and made the trip to the new facility in Willenhall.

Improved conditions and investment in new plant and machinery ensured the future was to be exciting and bright.

Employee Health & Wellbeing

Continued Investment and education in our Workforce as all Staff enjoyed our annual Employee Health Screening day.

Hague once again welcomed our Workplace Wellbeing partners from New Leaf Health this week. New Leaf help to improve performance at Hague Fasteners by helping us to identify the costs associated with individual health risk. This is done by establishing the health status of the company, including the health risks and unhealthy behaviours of individual employees with a tailored bespoke in-house survey.

Hague Workforce Health

A great day with fantastic health screening for all the Hague staff,  followed by internal competition amongst our staff in the “battle of the Cholesterol & Body Fat”.

Big thanks to Andy and all at New Leaf for the detailed and thorough individual health reports.

One recurring source of frustration during recent Customer feedback analysis showed disappointment at the time taken to quote enquiries. Often next day quoting, whilst faster than the general industry norm for manufactured costings, is simply not fast enough.

We are proud to boast a significant improvement in 2014, in the handling of incoming RFQ’s & hope we can demonstrate to you the rapid response now enjoyed by our clients.

Non-Chinese Please – We're British

Taking the bus to work or having a relaxing walk amid the rush hour traffic, wherever you are, you will no doubt have a little bit of China on you.

Listening to your iPod – Made in China
Fiddling with your key ring – Made in China
Dressed to impress – Made in China

Our business has been established since 1971 and in recent years we have seen a massive upturn in requests for Manufactured Special Fasteners of Stainless Steels (and nonferrous materials) where it is stipulated in the supply terms that non Chinese sourced material must be used.
NonChinese Fasteners

We pride ourselves on the high integrity of all products we manufacture from a complex component made in house to a customers close toleranced drawing, to a standard pin or washer, ground or laser cut in the heart of England.

We fully appreciate the reasons customers are increasingly asking for manufactured fasteners from EU produced steels and NonChinese machine shops and are proud to advise all of our current and prospective Customers that Hague Fasteners do not get involved with any Chinese or Far Eastern imports.
In a complete turnaround Hague Fasteners are now even supplying British manufactured Bolts, Nuts & Washers into Japan, Malaysia, Thailand and even China, a process we never thought possible when we were losing contracts to these very countries in the 1980s.

In further support of British engineering Hague Fasteners have proudly completed their first year of Young Apprentice schemes seeing an increase in their Special Fastener Engineering Workforce with investment in youth training and staff development.

If you have any projects that require small volume, special, high integrity fasteners that cannot be sourced from China or from Chinese origin materials, we would kindly ask that you give Hague Fasteners a try.

We Offer a wide selection of Hexagon Nuts and Custom Bolts & Nuts

Hague Fasteners offer a whole array of Custom Bolts & Nuts, Hexagon Nuts and Socket Capscrews to a wide range of industries, serving a wide selection from construction to commercial. We can manufacture a wide range of products to the best quality that are specially designed to meet customer’s specific requirements. Having the ability to produce Custom Bolts & Nuts means we can meet our clients specific requirements, ensure they are provided with bespoke products that are tough and durable. You can learn more about our Custom Bolts & Nuts by visiting our website and reading information about each product we mention. They are available in a variety of finishes from Zinc to colour coated. All of our Bolts & Nuts and Hexagon Nuts can be manufactured to meet all British metric standards; we are the leading manufacturers of special custom fasteners within the UK and have many years of experience within the industry. As we offer customised bolts and nuts it is no surprise that we are pioneers within the industry, giving our customers 100 percent satisfaction with our products. Hexagon Nuts are basically a type of metal fastener with six sides and are commonly used to fix objects together. While the hexagon nut is most common used shape within nuts there are also other types of nuts available. Socket Capscrews also have a hexagonal centre on the screw head, allowing the Capscrew to bind together with the object. Using a Socket Capscrew can cause less damage than conventional Philips or slotted head screws, which makes them reliable. Ensuring that the Capscrew matches the head type on the object is vital to make sure the finished connection is completely structurally sound. If you are interested in purchasing any of the products mentioned, or are looking for information regarding our custom made items then you can visit our website online. Or you can contact us directly with any queries you may have.
