Stainless 347 – UNS S34700

General

347 and 347H (UNS S34709, which guarantees Carbon content at min 0.07%) are versions of the more common 304, containing stabilising elements, in this Niobium and Tantalum.  These grades are used at temperatures in the carbide precipitation range, 45-900°C, and subsequently exposed to corrosive environments.  Used in High temperature gaskets and expansion joints, rocket engine parts, aircraft collector rings and exhaust manifolds and chemical production equipment.
